Level 1/2: For those just beginning a yoga practice or wanting to come back to some basics within the practice.
Level 2: An Intermediate practice which focuses on alignment and breath within basic poses and moving toward more challenging poses.
Level 2/3: For the more “available” practitioner wanting to move towards more advanced poses and a more challenging flow.
All Levels: Appropriate to all practitioners. Class will be adapted toward the students who are present. Modifications will be given to both challenge and inspire the practice.
This is our Classic Flow with more focus on a beginner's mind and body. The class structure will move a little slower and the poses will get back to the basics of learning alignment and movement. This class is suitable for anyone wanting to step back and look at the basics of the postures and move mindfully and slowly.
Seated Hatha Yoga. Perfect for anyone working through limited mobility. Chairs are provided but you may find it not necessary to use them after a while. Great for building strength, balance and gait.
A hybrid of the Classic Hatha Style, with attention to alignment and detail, and the fluidity and breath consciousness of a Vinyasa Flow. Both styles combined to connect and move you deeper. This class is suitable for All Levels of practitioners and modifications will be given to help guide you into the postures.
This class will work combine Yoga and Pilates movements to work the body's core for strength and stability. Suitable for all levels of practitioners.
A practice for anyone looking to move slowly and find support of mind, body and breath. Postures and gentle movements are designed to open and create ease.
A basic yoga form in which postures are held extensively and explored in the physical and subtle planes of the body. Slower moving and attention to detail and alignment.
A class designed for someone wanting to explore more advanced poses and sequences and dive deeper into pranayama and exploration in their practice. Suitable for someone with an established yoga practice.
A practice of yoga which combines meditation, mantra, physical exercises and breathing techniques. The practice focuses on self-awareness and consciousness through movement and breath. This class is appropriate for all levels of practitioners and will be modified to be appropriate for all levels and experiences.
During pregnancy, a woman's body and mind experience many changes. Connecting into and becoming comfortable with those changes is important as the pregnancy progresses. Maintaining the physical strength and flexibility of the body will help ease tensions and stress in the body and help prepare for childbirth.
We will move gently, stretch and help the body maintain the physical stability it needs during the months of pregnancy.
Stretch and Flow
You don't have to be able to touch your toes! This class is one hour of guided stretch and easy moving the body. Focus on opening of joints and stretching our muscles to make our body more available. Expect to ease into lengthening and opening of the body. All levels welcome.
Start off your day by waking up your mind and body with this invigorating and awakening practice. Class begins with a meditation followed by some movements to awaken and prepare to begin your day. All levels are welcomed with modifications for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
Poses flow from one to the next to build and ignite the muscular energy of the body within the breath. Find your edge and expand your practice.
A set of asanas, or postures, that are held for longer periods of time to move out of muscular effort and into connective tissue. It increases circulation in the joints and flexibility. The postures are grounding and help to calm the nervous system and move us into a more balanced state of being. Props are used to help support the body as it opens safely and gradually. The breath is focused so the mind can calm. This practice is powerful and opening for body and mind.
This class combines the Yin and Yang energies of a yoga class to help balance the practitioner. The class begins with a short series of Yin Yoga Postures (see Yin Yoga above) and then moves into the fluid Vinyasa sequences. It combines the passive and active qualities of the body to work both connective tissure and muscle. All Levels of practitioners welcome.
